Overview
Pinco is a comprehensive platform that provides users to prepare for job interviews through mock interviews, video tips, and job listings. The app previously lacked clarity in navigation, personalization, leading to a disjointed user experience and outdated UI. As the UI/UX Designer, my role was to redesign the app to simplify navigation, enhance personalization, and improve the overall user experience. This redesign focused on both usability and aesthetic improvements to ensure that users could engage more effectively with the app's features.
Problem
The original Pinco app was cluttered and overloaded with features on the home screen, causing users to experience information overload. This disorganized layout made it difficult for users to focus on core actions like starting a mock interview or exploring job listings, reducing the overall effectiveness of the app. Additionally, the app lacked clear navigation and personalization, leading to a disjointed user experience. Users frequently engaged with free features but showed little interest in the premium options due to unclear value communication. Many users abandoned the checkout process after adding premium plans, suggesting issues with both the payment flow and the perceived value of premium features. Pinco's client desired a fresh, engaging UI that would address these challenges, simplify navigation, and create a more intuitive, engaging user experience.

Redesigning the Pinco app within a tight timeline required balancing creativity with client restrictions and delivering a cohesive, modern user experience. Some screens needed only UI enhancements, while new features like Tapes and Reports demanded careful integration into the app’s existing structure. Regular communication with the client and manager was essential to ensure the design aligned with business goals and user needs.
